The lifespan of motions in a committee or board varies depending on the type of motion. A motion to discharge a committee can be filed and debated within a specific timeframe, while an ex-officio member’s rights might impact the vote and quorum, potentially extending the motion’s life. Debates have limits, and members can’t typically change their votes once cast, except under certain circumstances. During this presentation, we will discuss and explore different scenarios relating to the life span of motions. Presented by Shealese P. Russell-Reams, RP
