As practicing parliamentary experts, our role is to assist our clients in managing meeting procedure. Our desired core goals are to help our clients resolve tough issues in an orderly, efficient, and respectful manner, and to achieve judicious and informed decisions.
The ‘toolbox’ that most parliamentarians use is the client’s parliamentary authority (e.g.: Robert’s Rules of Order). Its use can indeed achieve order, civility, and good time management. But rules of order cannot codify how to achieve informed decisions on complex and/or contentious governance issues.
In this 2 hour session, led by Eli Mina, M.Sc., PRP, CPP-T, you will learn about essential non-parliamentary tools that will supplement the rules of order by focusing on responsible governance and informed decision making.
This session has been approved for 1 CEU credit and 1 Professional Responsibility CEU Credit by NAP for RP/PRP credential renewal.
