Minutes Made Easy is a basic skills course designed for people who are responsible for preparing minutes for any type of business meetings: board meetings, conventions, or other meetings for non-profit organizations, government bodies, or for-profit companies.
The course covers basic such as
why accurate meeting minutes are important,
what goes in the minutes,
what does not go in the minutes, and
how minutes are formatted.
Beyond the basics, though, this course also provides specific advice for many situations that secretaries and members of minutes approval committees are unsure how to represent, such as
the results of voice, ballot, roll-call, and other types of votes,
items involving extensive debate,
guest speakers, and
special meetings.
The course describes options and procedures for the distribution, review, correction, and approval of minutes—and how to preserve the minutes as a permanent record of the organization.
At the end of the course, you may take a short quiz to test your understanding. A passing grade will allow you to print a certificate of completion for the course for your records.

When you purchase a subscription to the course, an account will be created for you that you will use to access the online course. NAP will send you an email containing the website address for the course, and the initial password you will use to login for the first time.
You will have access to the course for 30 days from the date of purchase. You can review the course as often as you like during this time. At the end of the 30-day period, your subscription to the course will expire. If you have purchased other courses that have not expired, your online training account will remain active; otherwise, your account will be deactivated.
NAP does not guarantee that every computer and browser will work correctly with the course; there are too many variations in computer configurations, browser settings, and sound systems to test all possible combinations. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, NAP does not have the resources to provide technical support for computer users. If you encounter difficulties using the course and have not successfully completed the course, you may contact NAP for a full refund. No refund will be given once the course has been completed.
NAP members are eligible for a discount on subscriptions purchased for their own use. Discounts are not available for training subscriptions purchased by members for other subscribers or for subscriptions purchased by a non-member. The discounted price, if applicable, will be applied when you choose "Subscribe."
