San Antonio Unit

Welcome to the web site of the San Antonio Unit. The Unit, chartered June 1962, is the oldest parliamentary unit in San Antonio, Texas, and is one of the largest units in the National Association of Parliamentarians (NAP). Monthly meetings are conducted according to Robert's Rules of Order Newly Revised, 10th edition.

Unit MEMBERSHIP is DIVERSIFIED - business owners, retired military, pilots, medical personnel, retired teachers, city clerks, civil service employees, and members who serve as volunteers in various organizations.
Current membership is 45.

The San Antonio Unit EXCELS in its monthly EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS. Programs are presented to appeal to all levels of membership. 2007-2008 programs.

The Unit PRIDES itself in its LEADERSHIP. The Unit has produced:
- one national officer
- six national committee members
- numerous state board members
- eleven state presidents
- two District Six Directors

The San Antonio Unit SERVES the public by:
- teaching individuals how to protect their rights and interests in
organizations
- promoting interest in the use of parliamentary procedure by teaching
workshops to local and state government bodies, home owners associa-
tions, and various other organizations
- serving as bylaw consultants
- serving conventions as Parliamentarians
- serving as consultants in preparing youth for parliamentary events
and contests
- judging youth contests
