Your interest in the use of parliamentary procedures to carry out productive meetings can bring you to active participation in this Unit!

The Santa Fe Parliamentary Unit was chartered in March, 2003 in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The mission of the Unit is to promote the knowledge and practice of basic parliamentary procedure for all who are members of and participate in organizational meetings. Public seminars presented by parliamentarians are offered regularly.

Congratulations to James Smart, SFPU Secretary, and new primary member of the Santa Fe Parliamentary Unit
James successfully completed the NAP Membership Exam, making him a primary member of the Unit. James has been active in the Unit for several years; he values the knowledge of parliamentary procedures that can be used at meetings of his local rural water association!

Becoming a Member

As an interested person you are encouraged to join the Santa Fe Parliamentary Unit as a provisional member. After gaining knowledge of basic parliamentary rules and procedures you can choose to complete the steps for membership in the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF PARLIAMENTARIANS®.

To become a member of SFPU, the applicant must submit a completed Application for Membership. Download the form and submit it to an officer.

SFPU Meetings

The Unit meets on the second Saturday of each month from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM.
Guests/visitors are always welcome!
The educational program, open to the public, is conducted during the first hour. A business meeting follows.
