The Nebraska State Association of Parliamentarians hosted its Institute and Annual Meeting Friday, May 7 and Saturday, May 8, 2010 at the Best Western Interstate in Kearney, Nebraska.

Ron Stinson, PRP, President of the National Association of Parliamentarians was the featured presenter for the institute on Friday. Lynna Gene Cook of Lincoln was the coordinator of this activity. Karen Watson, Lincoln, began the newest member of NAP after successfully completing her membership test online. Jan Falk, PRP, Omaha, was recognized as the NSAP Parliamentarian of the Year.

The new officers for 2010-2012 include the following: Viola Brannen, RPRP, President; Sandra K. Olson, PRP, Vice-President; Polly Goecke, RP, Secretary; and Linda Chloupek, Treasurer.

Traveling workshops will be held in the following locations: July 31, Omaha--basic leadership training; September 11, Norfolk--basic leadership training; February 12, Mahoney State Park, intermediate meeting management training; and May 13, Mahoney State Park, leadership training, youth parliamentary competition, and meeting management training.
