About the Mississippi Association of Parliamentarians

The object of the Mississippi Association of Parliamentarians (MAP), as contained in our bylaws, is:

  • To promote the study and practice of parliamentary procedure;
  • To promote educations programs of NAP at the state level;
  • To bring into closer cooperation the parliamentarians of the state;
  • To promote opportunities for the study of parliamentary law.

MAP was chartered in 2009, and held its first annual convention in June, 2010. Visit the "News and Events" page for details of our upcoming educational events.

If you are interested in parliamentary procedure, just want to know a little more about Robert's Rules of Order, or are a seasoned parliamentarian in the Mississippi area, please join us in our quest to promote "effective meeting management through the use of parliamentary procedure" (from the NAP Mission Statement).
