Santa Fe Trail Unit (SFTU)
The object of SFTU is the study of parliamentary procedure; promote the object and ethics of the NAP; provide courses of study of parliamentary procedure for members of the community as well as provisional members of the SFTU; and provide the education programs of the NAP and MSAP.
SFTU encourages people to join as provisional members who are interested in basic study for preparation for NAP membership and requests parliamentary information

WEBSITE MONTHLY RESEARCH CHALLENGE QUESTIONS
INSTRUCTIONS: Read the problems carefully and then answer ALL questions fully and completely. RONR is the authority for all these problems. If bylaws information is not included, you may assume that the bylaws are silent and you have to go by RONR. After your written opinion, be sure to cite the page and line numbers in RONR with your answers to support your written opinion. You may use either the 10th or 11th edition of RONR, but be sure to specify which one you have used.
NOTE: Each month, there will be a different research problem varying in degrees of challenge. For the first responder each month with the correct COMPLETE answer, special recognition as Research Expert of the Month will be awarded, whether using the 10th or 11th edition of RONR. Also each month, the first responder with the correct COMPLETE answer using BOTH 10th and 11th editions of RONR will be awarded special recognition as RONR Guru of the Month. Monthly research challenge problems will be posted each month on the 15th at 9:00 a.m. CST (Central Standard Time). The deadline to solve and respond with solution will be each month on the 25th at 9:00 a.m. CST (Central Standard Time). March 15, 2012 RESEARCH CHALLENGE QUESTION
Delegates at the annual meeting of the BCD association adopted bylaws that changed the composition of the board of directors. A transition document was submitted with the bylaw proposal but not formally adopted by the assembly. The transition document's intended purpose was to facilitate the transition of the number of officers to the board of directors from the previous 9-member to the current 10-member board. Does the transition document affect the election of members of the board of directors?
