 Missouri State Association of Parliamentarians
Welcome to the Missouri State Association of Parliamentarians Web site. MSAP is a non-profit organization whose primary purpose is to educate its members and the public how to conduct meetings fairly and efficiently. MSAP is a division of the National Association of Parliamentarians, a worldwide organization that provides a variety of educational and accreditation services.
With members throughout Missouri, MSAP and its units provide frequent opportunities for you to:
- Learn how to run a meeting effectively
- Discover techniques to defuse tense disagreements and resolve contentious matters fairly
- Understand why meeting minutes must be accurate - and what should be in them
- Demonstrate your expertise in meeting management by becoming credentialed by the National Association of Parliamentarians.
If you and your organization need help, but you don't have time to join our meetings and learn these techniques, no problem! The National Association of Parliamentarians can provide you with a list of professional parliamentarians practicing in your area; these professionals have achieved the designation of Professional Registered Parliamentarian®, and undergo continuing education to maintain their proficiency.
