Detroit Unit - National Association Of Parliamentarians (NAP)
Welcome to the website of the Detroit Unit of Parliamentarians. Located in Detroit, our mission is to provide education and leadership growth to the residents of the greater Detroit area.

Detroit Unit members have a wide variety of interests and experiences, from members who are just beginning their study of parliamentary procedure to professional parliamentarians who have worked with a number of for-profit and non-profit organizations.

We encourage anyone who would like to learn more about holding effective meetings, serving as an officer of an organization, improving an organization's bylaws, running elections, or other topics to join us at one of our meetings and meet our members.

Meetings
The Detroit Unit meets on the fourth Saturday of each month. We meet at 10:00 AM at the Northwest Activites Center, 18100 Meyers (at Curtis), Detroit, Michigan 48235. Our meetings include:

1. Educational Programs,
2. Business Meetings, and
3. Parliamentary Roundtables.

During the Roundtable discussions members and guests share challenging deliberations they've encountered in meetings (or, are expecting to encounter in a future meeting) and the group discusses alternatives for handling these sometimes "sticky situations."

Guests are always welcome, we offer "student membership" to community leaders who wish to learn more about Robert's Rules of Order Newly Revised (11th edition) and who would like to benefit from member privileges.
