NAP Web Hosting Service

Sample Site 1The Internet—and the World Wide Web in particular—is an increasingly important communication tool for organizations who need to provide information about their mission, activities, and services to members and potential members.

Many NAP associations and units would like to add a website to their set of communication tools, but do not have members with the skills or software needed to design, develop, and maintain a website. Purchasing these skills and services from other professionals can be expensive, particularly for ongoing maintenance of the site. In response to this challenge, the NAP communications committee developed a solution that allows constituent divisions to maintain web pages using only a web browser and basic computer skills. Members with more skills and resources, such as a digital camera, can add photographs or downloadable documents or forms.

Each association or unit may assign up to three website editors, each of whom can edit text on the site, choose from among several color schemes and text styles, select the best page layouts to present information, and update photos or documents. Download the user manual to learn more about the web hosting service.

All of these pages are public. The sample unit site has one page that is visible to the general public, and one page that is only available to NAP members logged into the site.
