Atlanta Unit
Welcome! Thank you for visiting our website!
I am Ausker Morris, RP, President of the Atlanta Unit of the Georgia Association of Parliamentarians. Let me tell you a few things about us. The Atlanta Unit is the fourth oldest unit of the 240 units of the National Association of Parliamentarians (NAP), one of the largest units in NAP, and the oldest unit in Georgia, having been organized on October 25, 1950. Our Vision is to be recognized as the premier resource for Parliamentary Procedure education in the Atlanta Metropolitan area.
Membership
Our membership is a diverse one with members coming from all parts of the metropolitan area and the outlying communities. Our members provide leadership at all levels of the NAP, community organizations, fraternal organizations, educational organizations, and wherever deliberative assemblies meet. There are a number of members who spend their lunch time in our study sessions.
Meetings
We meet on the fourth Monday of each month except June, July, August, and December from 10:30 a.m. to 12 O'clock noon at the West Side Community C.M.E. Church, 2114 Dr. M. L. King, Jr., Drive, SW, Atlanta Georgia. The first hour of our meeting is spent in our study session, with the business meeting following. The study topic comes from our annual Educational Program Calendar.
Guests are always welcome. Just let us know so that we may expect you.
What's In It For You?
