THE BRADENTON UNIT
The Bradenton Unit of Parliamentarians, a member of both the Florida State and National Associations of Parliamentarians, meets the 3rd Thursday of each month September through May in the Bradenton Central Library. Meeting time is 2:00-4:00 p.m. The Central Library is located on the Manatee Riverfront at 1301 Barcarrota Blvd West in Bradenton.
Regular meetings with learning workshops are held each month. The correct use of parliamentary procedure will be discussed and practiced. Visitors and questions are welcome. The purpose of the meetings is educational.
Meetings are free and open to persons interested in participating in or conducting a meeting using "Robert's Rules of Order 11th Edition Newly Revised" as a guide.RONR 11th Edition
MEMBERSHIP
To become a Provisional member of the Bradenton Unit and the Florida State Association of Parliamentarians (FSAP), a dues fee is required.
To become a Member of the National Association of
Parliamentarians (NAP), a 100 question test must be passed. Review and practice for the Membership Test are online as well as the test itself at: www.parliamentarians.org.home
Further credentials can be acquired as a Registered Parliamentarian (RP)® and/or a Professional Registered Parliamentarian (PRP)®. Information is available on the NAP website: www.parliamentarians.org.home
