NAP Distance Learning Opportunities
The fastest-changing service that the National Association of Parliamentarians offers is its distance learning program. Through a partnership with the University of Wisconsin, NAP has made its distance learning course, Introduction to Parliamentary Procedure: Dynamics of Leadership, available to the general public. This course provides a comprehensive introduction to parliamentary procedure, including:
- basic principles and procedures
- business meetings
- classes of motions
- main motions and resolutions
- subsidiary, privileged, and incidental motions
- duties of officers
- business in boards and committees
Students who successfully complete the course are eligible for membership in the National Association of Parliamentarians without further testing, and also receive 14 continuing education units (CEUs) from UW Independent Learning.
Visit the University of Wisconsin Web site to learn more about the course.
