2008 National Training Conference
 The 2008 National Training Conference promises to be a memorable experience for both the informative workshops offered and the spectacular setting in Virginia Beach.
The conference begins with an opening luncheon on Friday, September 12, and a plenary session featuring a very timely presentation from speaker T. Page Johnson, PRP, entitled Designating The President: Quadrennial Adventures With The Electoral College.
Workshops begin Friday afternoon and continue through Sunday morning. A total of 30 workshops, ranging in topics from principles of parliamentary procedure to community organizations to preparing professional parliamentary opinions, will be offered.
 On Saturday night, the NAP Educational Foundation Board of Trustees invites all attendees to enjoy dinner at the historic Cavalier on the Hill, recognized by the National Trust for Historic Preservation with its Historic Hotels of America designation. Join fellow conference participants in the hotel’s beautiful ballroom as you enjoy a relaxing social evening and support the foundation.
Throughout the conference, enjoy the beachfront location and outstanding service at the Cavalier Hotel. Voted Best on the Beach, the Cavalier has been a Virginia Beach landmark since its 1927 opening. The conference will be held at the contemporary Cavalier Oceanfront, where every guest room has an ocean view. Across the street is the stately Cavalier on the Hill, host to presidents and other dignitaries throughout the hotel's history.
