NAP Books and References
The National Association of Parliamentarians sells a variety of reference and educational books to guide novice and experience parliamentarians alike.

Item 100SBMembers, elected officers, and parliamentarians should all have a copy of the parliamentary authority that governs the meetings of their organization. NAP sells several versions of Robert's Rules of Order Newly Revised, including a spiral-bound edition that lays flat when open; it also sells The Standard Code of Procedure ("Sturgis") and Mason's Manual of Procedure for members of organizations who use those authorities.

While these parliamentary authorities are essential, complete references, they are substantial books and can be difficult to decipher. The authors of Robert's Rules of Order Newly Revised have produced a companion volume, Robert's Rules of Order Newly Revised In Brief, that covers the most common topics in parliamentary procedure in a much smaller volume than RONR itself. NAP members have also authored books in two highly popular series that provide an informative, approachable introduction to parliamentary procedure: The Idiot's Guide to Robert's Rules and Robert's Rules for Dummies.

Item 810Other books in the NAP store explore more specific applications of parliamentary procedure, such as local government or conventions. Explore the online store now, or review the current order form, to find the books that you need!
